Charlie Shreck takes 5-35 on debut for Notts 1st XI

 

Truro's Charlie Shreck today made his debut for Notts 1stXI in their Norwich Union Division One Match against Worcestershire.

 

Worcestershire made 251-6 in their 45 overs with Charlie returning the magnificent figures of 5-35 from his 9 overs. His victims were the first five in the Worcestershire batting order, Vikram Solanki, Anurag Singh, Graeme Hick, Ben

Smith and Stephen Peters. Despite his efforts Notts lost the match by 81 runs with Charlie, (batting at no 11), 1 not out.

 

It's the second time this year that Charlie has taken 5 wickets against Worcestershire. In June he took 5-19 when Cornwall played Worcestershire in the C & G Trophy. 

 

 

Truro presented with cup during win at St. Buryan

Truro captain Tom Sharp was presented with the ECB Cornwall Premier League Trophy by sponsor Nigel Jolly during Truro's six wicket win at St. Buryan. Truro earned 20 pts from the match to finish 45 pts ahead of second place St. Buryan.

 

Truro bowled St. Buryan out for 149, with Charlie Shreck taking 6-57 and Stephen Gay 3-34. In reply Truro made 153-6, Julian Bose 36, Tom Sharp 34 no, Steve Cocket 21 no and Stuart McNair 19.

 

 

Truro 2nd XI had a nail-biting 2 run win at Leedstown to finish third in Division Two west. Scores from Saturday 7th September were:-

 

St. Buryan - 149 v Truro 1st XI  - 153-4 [card]

Truro 2nd XI - 172-9 v Leedstown  - 170 [card]

 

 

Truro win Premier League at St. Buryan

 

A losing draw at St. Buryan saw Truro retain their Premier League title. Charlie Shreck missed the match as he was travelling to Yorkshire to play for Notts 2nds in a match starting on Monday 2nd September. Scores:-
