Our congratulations and best wishes go to Karen Lidgey and Chris Phillips who were married at Truro Methodist Church on 3Oth March 2002. Chris will be our 2nd XI vice-captain in 2002.

Truro to play Westland Sports in Cup

Truro have been drawn at home to Westland Sports in the National Clubs Championship. The match, [45 overs per side], will be played on 28th April with a 2.00pm start. 

Westland Sports are based in Yeovil and in 2001 they won the Somerset Division of the West Of England Cricket Clubs Championship.

Under 15s and 13s face tough cup opponents

The draw has been made for the under 15 and under 13 National Competitions. In the Sun Life cup our under 15s will be playing St. Just away and in the Subaru Cup the under 13s will be playing Paul away. Dates have not yet been arranged.

Tom Sharp elected Cornwall Captain

Congratulations to Tom Sharp who was elected Cornwall County Cricket Club's Captain at their Annual Meeting on 7th March 2002. Tom was nominated by retiring Captain Gary Thomas who stood down after three seasons in charge. Tom, at 24, will be one of Cornwall's youngest ever captains.
