Truro gained 19 points from their win over St. Just, [Truro were deducted 1 point for a slow over rate], and now need 8 points from their 2 games against St. Buryan to retain the ECB Cornwall Premier League Championship. Results from Saturday August 31st were:-

Truro maintain their lead over St. Buryan

 

Truro's win over Troon means that their lead over St. Buryan at the top of the Premier League remains at 34 points. Results from Manday August 26th were:-

 

Truro 1st XI - 261-5 dec v Troon  - 175 [card]

Goldsithney - 210-8 v Truro 2nd XI  - 211-4 [card]

Truro increase lead over St. Buryan to 34 points

 

20 pts gained from their win at Falmouth and St. Just's 4 run win at St. Buryan means that Truro now lead the Premier League by 34 points. Truro now need 47 points from their remaining 4 matches to be certain of retaining their title. Truro

2nds scored 235 at home against a weakened Falmouth 2nds and had the visitors reeling at 2-6 and 18-8, but a 9th wicket stand of 49 saw them reach 70 all out. Results from Saturday August24th were:-

Weather wins the day!

 

This season's long awaited first match against St. Buryan was abandoned, due to persistent rain,  at 4.40pm with Truro in a very strong position. [card]. The 2nd XI and 4th XI travelled to Leedstown and Rosudgeon, respectively, but both matches were called off without a ball being bowled. The 3rd XI, playing at home, were bowled out by Perranarworthal 2nd XI but no play was possible after tea. Results from Saturday August 17th were:-

Leedstown v Truro 2nd XI  - Match Postponed - Rain

Truro 3rd XI - 134 v  Perranarworthal 2nd XI  - Match Abandoned [card]

Ben Price's 91 no. sees Truro home

 

A magnificent 91 not out saw Truro pass Mullion's score of 184 with over 8 overs to spare. Result:-

Tom Sharp scores century at Menheniot

 

Skipper Tom Sharp's 126 and Michael Munday's 6-31 saw Truro win by 147 runs at Menheniot. Truro 3rds had a terrific win over table-toppers Mount Hawke after recovering from 63-6 to reach 179-8. Results from Saturday August 10th were:-

Truro 1st team openers Jonathan Kent [109] and Neil Stoddard [142no] put on 206 for the first wicket at Mullion, but Truro had to settle for a winning draw on a good batting wicket. Results on Saturday 3rd August were as follows:-
